Letter from the Director: Winter 2022

Rebuilding

We are excited about 2022. Just as Nehemiah rebuilt the walls of Jerusalem, we are seeing this year as a rebuilding year. I am praying God will be with us and guide us as we continue through this difficult time. I have marveled how He has led us so far. We have returned to the core of what God has called us to - our Vision and Mission. My staff is more keenly focused on the Harvey Cedars Bible Conference’s Vision and Mission than ever before. One of the many lessons from COVID is that, to survive and rebuild, you need to rely on the Lord, be flexible, and be willing to change and try new things. I believe Harvey Cedars is a better and stronger organization because of the things we have learned this last year and a half.

As we enter the new year, there will be lingering effects from the difficult times and losses we have all experienced. There will be changes that will linger for a long time and other changes will disappear as time goes on. Many of the changes will be positive. I believe we will see many new guests come to Harvey Cedars. We will reach out to guests whom we have not seen in a while and hope they will return. This rebuilding process will take time and yet, each obstacle becomes an opportunity to make Harvey Cedars better and to bring glory to God. I want to invite you to come and be with us this very special summer. God is doing something wonderful here - come and be a part of it.

I am looking forward to seeing you this year.

Sincerely,
Jonathan Oldham
