Letter from the Director - Fall 2022

The Bible teaches us that we should always remember where we have come from as we contemplate our journey forward. At Harvey Cedars Bible Conference, our history is the platform we build on as we look to the future. As we plan for 2023, we are excited about what God is going to accomplish. We anticipate hundreds of lives changed. We plan to minister to more teenagers than in past years. We pray even more families will be healed and restored. Our team is positioned to move forward and share the gospel and see lives changed like never before.

Our culture needs to hear about God’s love more today than at any day in the past. The post-Christian world we live in is walking away from its foundation and roots. Harvey Cedars is standing strong in our beliefs and heritage. Many are discouraged as they look at the world around them. I see this as a great opportunity to share God’s love. It is our vision at Harvey Cedars to be an even brighter lighthouse, shining rays of hope to those drowning in the storms of life.

As we look to the future, we remember what God accomplished in just this past year. 2022 has been a great year of rebuilding. We watched hundreds of teenagers come to a saving faith during our youth weeks. Many teenagers found community and support to deal with all the pressures around them at can cause anxiety, separation, and depression. Many families were supported and strengthened during our family weeks. Several children attending the Knight Lights’ children’s ministry program during family weeks asked for forgiveness of their sins. Our staff was humbled to see 71 guests accept Jesus as their savior at the Gospel Camp retreat on Labor Day weekend.

I am encouraged as I look back at how God worked in 2022, and I am anticipating even greater things to be accomplished in the year to come.

Please pray with me that God will change lives in the upcoming year.

Sincerely,
Jon Oldham
