Share the Faith: Jesus is Coming Again

Every day, I ask God to bring someone into my life who I can share my faith with. I’m more convinced than ever that, between COVID and the current state of the world, many of us have felt silenced. We don’t want to stir up tension with neighbors and friends, so we just stay quiet.

But staying quiet isn’t the answer.

You don’t hear much about the second coming of Christ anymore. Back in the ‘70s, people would often ask, “If you were to die tonight, where would you go?” It was direct—but it made people think. After World War II, especially when Israel became a nation, many believed the end times were near. But Christ didn’t return then.

Still, the Bible is clear—Jesus is coming again. Like a thief in the night. And we need to be ready. Our lamps should be full, our hearts prepared for the Bridegroom to return. Now more than ever, I believe it’s time for us—not just the church as a whole, but each of us personally—to step out and share our faith. The world around us is hurting, and people are searching for hope. If we don’t share Jesus with them, who will?

So here’s a challenge: pray each day that God will bring someone across your path who needs to hear about him. Be ready to share the live-giving hope you’ve found in Christ.

Let’s not stay silent.

Sincerely,
Jon Oldham, Executive Director
