Letter from the Director — Spring 2026
This winter has been a cold one. Ice and snow linger on the ground and the bay has been frozen for weeks. Punxsutawney Phil predicted six weeks of winter ahead. Yet even as winter drags on and spring approaches, we are already at work—praying and making plans for the summer season. There is great excitement and anticipation for the year to come.
This summer, we celebrate our 85th year of ministry and God’s faithfulness to his work at Harvey Cedars. As we look back, we clearly see his hand of protection, guidance, and provision throughout the years. The storms he brought us through include not only the hurricanes of 1944, 1962, 1992, and 2012, but also seasons of ministry and social challenges. Through it all, God is faithful. As he has been in the past, we trust him to remain faithful today and in the future. He keeps his promises for a thousand generations.
Looking ahead to summer, we are excited to add an additional Sr. High Week and a special Anniversary Family Week to our schedule. We eagerly anticipate seeing God at work in the lives of teenagers and families. Now more than ever, there is a need for a place like Harvey Cedars—where Christ finds people and changes lives.
Our team is already in the process of selecting summer staff. As many of you know, this is one of our most important ministries. Hardly a week goes by without an email, text, or call reminding me of a life that was changed because someone spent a summer on staff at Harvey Cedars.
May I ask you to pray for Harvey Cedars as we choose staff and prepare for summer and that God would use our staff and our place to impact our guests’ lives this summer?
Sincerely,
Jon Oldham
Executive Director
